The Jews Thought Evil Against Paul but God Meant it unto Good

Page 189

The Jews brought an evil indictment against the Great Apostle Paul.
“And when Festus was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove. [8] While Paul answered for himself, He told them Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
[9] But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me? [10] Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest. [11] For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.  ” Acts 25:7-13

Paul appealed to Caesar rather than to take a chance that he would be improperly judged by the supreme council and tribunal of the Sanhedrin.

The writer continued; “Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.” Acts 25:12

Paul left Alexandra on an embarking ship that was destined for Rome. While in route, they were shipwrecked by a violent storm; “And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita. [2] And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. Acts 28:1-2

“In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. [8] And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a  fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

Page 190

[9] So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed: And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.” Acts 28:7-11

(Now here is an interesting factor; even though Paul healed all that was sick on that island, he would say later; “Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.”) 2 Tim. 4:20
(That testified that the healing was of God and not Paul.)

GOOD NEWS!
When Paul arrived at Rome; “They said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee. Acts 28:21

[22] But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against. Acts 28:22

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, [31] Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”  Acts 28:30-31

Yea, THE JEWS THOUGHT EVIL AGAINST PAUL BUT GOD MEANT IT UNTO GOOD for when Paul checked in with the Church at Philippi, his salutation was to; “All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.” Philippians 4:22

Sounds to me like the Apostle won the household of Caesar to Christ.
I believe that we can agree that, “The Jews meant it for evil against Paul, but God meant it for good;( to save much people alive.) Their life being eternal life. May God bless amen!

Ye Thought Evil Against Me, But God Meant It Unto Good
To Save Much People Alive
Page 191

Our title brings with it a special meaning when it applied to the Lord Jesus for the Jews did mean it for evil but GOD meant it for Good.

Matthew said that at His mock trial their Judgment was unanimous to; “crucify crucify Him.”
Here is that account;  “When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:” Matthew 27:1
They did put Him to death.
Paul verified that. He wrote; “Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:” 1 Thessalonians 2:15

When the Jews decision was to destroy Jesus, little did they realize that when they said away with Him that they had wavered their rights to the New Covenanted People, for God took them seriously.

Listen to what the Heavenly Father told Jesus through the pen of Isaiah; “I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;”
Isaiah 42:6

Paul said; “What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.” Romans 11:7
The suffering of Jesus that was brought on by men was prophesied in the law and the prophets.
The Spirit of Christ that was in David said; “For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.” Psalm 22:16
Then the Sweet Psalmist predicted; “They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.” Psalm 69:21

Page 192

Then the apostle John quoting another said: “They shall look on him whom they pierced.” John 19:37

Jesus also suffered the afflictions brought on by God. The Spirit of Christ that was in Jeremiah caused him to write:
“From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.” Lament.” 1:13

Then Jesus said through the patient man, Job:
“He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.” Job 16:14    Then adding to what Isaiah wrote; “Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.” Isaiah 53:10

AS THE SCRIPTURES BORE OUT THE JEWS THOUGHT EVIL AGAINST JESUS BUT GOD MEANT IT UNTO GOOD; TO SAVE MUCH PEOPLE ALIVE”

With that I will close.  To God be the glory.  Amen!

THOUGH SOMETIMES WE WONDER

Page 193
What did I do to deserve this?' or
'Why did God have to do this to me?'
Here is a wonderful explanation!
A daughter is telling her Mother how everything
is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend
broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.
Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and
asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the
daughter says, 'Absolutely Mom, I love your cake.'
'Here, have some cooking oil,' her Mother offers.
'Yuck' says her daughter..
'How about a couple raw eggs?' 'Gross, Mom!'
'Would you like some flour then?
Or maybe baking soda?'
'Mom, those are all yucky!'
To which the mother replies:
'Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves.
But when they are put together in the
right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! '
God works the same way. Many times we wonder why
He would let us go through such bad and difficult
times. But God knows that when He puts these things
all in His order, they always work for good! We just
have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all
make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you.
He sends you flowers every spring and
a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe,
and He chose your heart.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are
here we might as well dance in the rain!

The Things Which Must Shortly Be Done

(The Preliminary Study of The Book of Revelation)

                                                                                  June 17, 2001

Page 194

In Revelation 1:1 it is written: ”The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:”
Then He assured that whatever prophesy was written in the Revelation would be fulfilled shortly thereafter.
Here’s what he wrote: “And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.” Revelation 22:6

Now I believe that His sayings confirm that all biblical prophecy that was written in the Revelation was fulfilled during the apostolic age;  saving,  perhaps the events that were ongoing at that time and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And as He prophesied His coming was, and still is eminent at the end of the world.
When John reported on the things that he saw, such as the New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, He was not only a witness to its coming, he also entered into it on the same day and that Day was Pentecost.

Yea, John testified to the fact that he was in the Kingdom on the day he wrote the following.
He said: “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Revelation 1:9
When studying the book of Revelation, you’ll find that John wrote it through the use of imagery.  Such revelations Are foreign to all save dedicated Bible scholars.
Here is a statement that is worthy of being remembered.
When John said: “I saw; his grammar insisted that he was speaking of things of the past; and that he was witness to that event.
Here is an example.  John avowed: “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.” Revelation 21:23
Now, what provoked John to make such profound statement was that during the Old Testament the sun and the moon were essential for giving light to the kingdom of Israel.

Page 195
However, since Pentecost the Kingdom has been spiritual and the city has no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it: for the glory of God lightens it, “and the Lamb is the light thereof.”

In his book of “The Revelation of JESUS CHRIST”
John used the phrase “I saw” no less than forty times.
Some of the things were seen with natural eyes, while on the other hand, he saw things that were not natural with his spiritual eyes.

Paul mentioned such spiritual vision in Ephesians 1:18.  In somewhat of a rebuking voice, he told the saints of Ephesus: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling.”
In other words before you can say ‘I see’ concerning the things pertaining to the kingdom you must first understand the thing(s) that is being taught or what you’ve read from the Holy Bible.

I believe that’s what Jesus meant when He told Nicodemus: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3

As a sinner Nicodemus could not see the kingdom of God.  Sinners are not equipped with eyes to see spiritual thing, neither is the natural man of the saint.

John saw a lot with his natural eyes. He witnessed the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus, at close range.
Then he saw God bringing the Old Covenant to an end the day Israel killed the Lord Jesus. He saw that event through the eyes of his understanding, which is to say his spiritual eyes.
John’s superior vision didn’t necessarily come from what he had read but from what he had heard from the mouth of the Lord Jesus

John was also witness to the Pentecostal experience.  It was then that our Lord returned with His Kingdom that He had prophesied of at an earlier date.He told John and other disciples: “Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.” Matthew 16:28
And so they did see it and John was one of them.  Amen!

Our Reign With Christ
                                                                             July 28, 2011
Page 196

In his Psalm, David told the world that our God reigns over all of His creation.
He sang: “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.”  1Chronicles 16:31

Again the Psalmist said; “God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.” Psalm 47:8

Then said the Psalmist; “The Lord shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the Lord.” Psalm 146:10

Christ has been reigning in the Church since Pentecost.
I believe that He begin to reign in our life the day God sent forth the Spirit of His son Jesus Christ into our heart, crying, Abba, Father.  Galatians 4:6

Now the thousand-year reign differs from all the other ways that God reigns and it has an end. Revelation 20: 5

John starts us off by saying:  “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,” Revelation 20:1-2

Then further down in the chapter, he said:
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20: 6
There are three schools of thought on the “Thousand Year Reign.  Since only one of them is right the other two must be wrong.
   They are:
The pre-millennialist
The post-millennialist
Then there are those, including me that believe that He is reigning in our heart and shall continue as long as we are alive in the flesh.

Page 197

According to John the thousand-year reign with Christ runs in conjunction with the time that:

1. Satan is bound for a thousand years Revelation 20:2
2. The saints are reigning with Christ for a thousand years
3. And the saints commenced their reign with Christ as kings and priests for a thousand years. Revelation 20:6

Now our reign with Christ as individuals is basically about ministering to the saints and a watching world.

 Such reign is conditional
Paul presented us with the conditions. He wrote: “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:” 2 Timothy 2:12

In other words the only time that we are reigning with Christ as Christians is when we are living a crucified life.

Peter said that such suffering is done through the flesh. He wrote; "Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;" 1 Peter 4:1

Note: Peter didn’t say that we were without sin but that when we are suffering in the flesh that we have ceased from sinning during that time.

Since the body of the saint is to be raised with bodies liken to the glorious body of Christ, the first resurrection cannot be a bodily resurrection as some suggest, for i to suffer as Paul prescribed, the flesh is an essential instrument for such suffering, right?
I believe that type of suffering is accomplished by denying the flesh of its wants and lusts. For reigning with Christ is accomplished only when we have ceased from sinning with the flesh.
.
Now the biblical meaning of suffering in the flesh is self-denial and that means that, when we overcome the temptation of sin, it is then that we become a candidate to reign with Christ. Yes even after we have overcome the temptations

Page 198
of sin, then our reign is totally left up to Christ; that’s why Paul suggest that our reign is future. When he said; If we suffer, we shall also reign with him.”  The word “shall” denotes that the reign with Christ is future. Suffer first, then reign with Christ at His discretion.

 * As I have shown, after the Lord saves a sinner, certain conditions must be met before the reign with Christ begins; and for that reason their reign with Christ is reckoned to be future.
Paul used another choice of words to say that we have had part in the first resurrection. He wrote: “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen
with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.” Col. 2:12

 *  If we deny him, he also will deny us:

Just suppose that when a temptation presented itself to a Christian, and he yieldes to it; then by his submission he would have denied Christ of reigning, then in return Christ would have denied him by not being a partaker of his actions.

When we consider that God saved us by sending the Spirit of Christ into heart; and that upon His arrival He bound Satan for a thousand years.
And we begin our reign with Him for a thousand years;
And, that we are reigning with Him as kings and priests of God and of Christ, and our reign with him is for a thousand years.
Why not call it “The Thousand Year reign?” John did.

Not once did John say that Christ was reigning with us a thousand years, though
He has reigned faithfully during the thousand years, to our shame, we have
not always been faithful. According to John the thousand-year reign with Christ
runs in conjunction with the time that that we show ourselves faithful:

A good example of Christ on display, which is to say that Christ was obvious in their lives, is when Barnabus sought for Saul, whom was later called Paul. When he found Paul he brought him unto Antioch. “And it came to pass, that after a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Acts 11:26

Page 199

Then there is where Paul and other disciples entered into Thessalonica, there in                                                                     the synagogue of the Jews:

Paul Preached to them Christ; “They drew Jason and certain brethren unto the
rulers of the city, crying, “These that have turned the world upside down
are come hither also;” Acts 17:6 WOW!       May the good Lord help us to be

more like they were. AMEN!!

That Old Serpent Which is The Devil and Satan
                                                           August 1, 2011
Page 200

Seeing the old serpent plays such a large roll in our reign with Christ It seems good to consider what John said about our strong enemy, the Devil and Satan.

John said in Revelation 20:1and 2; “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,”

Now that angel was none other than our Lord Jesus Christ and the old serpent, was as John put it, the Devil, and Satan,

Prior to our becoming Christians we were in the clutches of the Devil and Satan. He reigned in our heart and with his influence and persuasion we became wretched and faithless sinners.
As sinners, we were living in the flesh, while the devil ruled us through our heart. After we believed and repented “The Heavenly father sent forth the Spirit of His Son Jesus Christ into our heart crying Abba Father.”

King David proclaimed his flesh to be a horrible pit. He wrote;  “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”  Psalm 40: 2

When Christ came to rescue us He found us captive and in a bottomless pit. (Our flesh.)  He bound the Devil and Satan with that strong chain and thrust him downward into that horrible pit, the flesh.

“JESUS CHRIST brought with Him a strong chain”

Now Jesus told us that it is He that binds the Devil and Satan.
When the Pharisees accused Him of casting out devils in the name of Beelzebub.
He told them:  “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. [29] Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will

spoil his house. [30] He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:28-29

 Page 201
David said of his redeemer and ours: "He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me."  Psalm 18:17

Since the fall of Adam his posterity has been without strength to resist the temptations that sin has to offer.  Romans 5:6

Paul also said that We were helpless and without Christ, and without God in the world.  Ephesians 2:12

As Paul implied and David said, our enemy was too strong for us.
Jesus equaled the score somewhat by binding the devil and Satan.

He bound him with the strong chain that He forged while he was here on earth.
Jesus began to forge that mythical chain immediately after He was baptized. During the next forty days and nights, He was tempted by the Devil and Satan a myriad of times, and by not yielding to those temptation He added many links to that strong chain.  Mark 1:13

Yea, He hammered out that mystical chain (link by link) on this wise: With each temptation that He overcome; He added a link to that proverbial chain.

On target, the writer said, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." Hebrews 4:15

And he said: “For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.” Hebrews 2:18  (Isn’t that good?)

The thousand-year reign ends with the death of the saint. John said; “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.”
[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations that are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” Revelation 20:7- 10
It is obvious that the Devil does not have the influence in the life of the saint that he has in the life of a sinner.

Page 202
John the Baptist witnessed that difference.

Matthew said; “But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” Matthew 3:7

After the twin towers were brought down.  Someone said that we must conclude that Satan isn't bound. His thought was based upon what is going on in the world.  I agree that Satan isn't bound in the lives of the people of the world.

Ah! But take a look at God's redeemed.  It tells a different story, altogether.

After Jesus binds the Devil and Satan, he is on no wise out of commission; that only places him in a predicament whereas he is manageable by the saint.

I like to compare the binding of Satan to a comic drawing that I saw in a magazine as I waited in the dentist waiting room.

The drawing portrayed a hippie as being handcuffed to his arresting officer.
As the officer stood at the phone booth reporting in to his superiors, the hippie slipped off one of his flip-flops and picked the wallet from the pocket of a bystander.

The child of God is represented in the officer. The pickpocket portrayed the bound, but much active Satan.

May our God Be blessed and keep you forever, Amen!

The Hundred Forty and Four Thousand

                                                                                        August 14, 20011

Page 203

In the previously study we found    ` that the thousand-year reign with Christ is all about the pilgrimage of the redeemed and the way they show Christ to the church and a watching world. Their reign with Christ began with the new birth and it shall continue as long as they draw breath.

Our mentors, the apostles, showed us by example how to get on with our Christian lives.
When the Apostles went into Thessalonica, the rulers of that city cried out against them by saying; “These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also.”  Acts 17:6

And never let it be said that the people of Antioch were not expressing their love toward the Church when they called them Christians, their thoughts were to destroy them.

The Apostle John wrote the following Scriptures after he was excommunicated to the Isle of Patmos.

He commenced his message with: “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea.”

[3] “Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”  Revelation 7:2-3

[4] “And I heard the number of them, which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”
[5] “Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.” Revelation 7:4-5
[6] “Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.”                                                                                                                                     [7] “Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.” Revelation 7:6-7

Page 204
[8] “Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.” Revelation 7:8

Now more that a few, so called Bible scholars, say that all Scripture should be taken literally, they teach that “The hundred forty and four thousand,” Twelve thousand from each tribe of the twelve tribes of Israel will be saved during, (what they call) the seven years of the great tribulation. Such doctrine is antichrist and anti-Bible.

In order to bring out the true meaning of John’s doctrine one needs to be able to read symbols or to understand encoding.
Webster says that encoding is to convert (as a body of information) from one system of communication into another; That we’ll do God permitting.

Our markets use the encoding system in the form of bar coding; then through another electronic decoding device they turn the code into something intelligent.

I’ve had a fair understanding on the doctrine of the hundred forty and four thousand and how they became dressed in white, but until now I haven’t been motivated to document it; but now I believe the time to be right.

Much of the Scripture comes our way encoded, while at the same time it affords its own key or in our case, keys.
The appropriate key can be found, only within the confines of the passage that is being considered

As we search for the key or keys on John’s doctrine  of THE REIGN WITH CHRIST AN THE ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FOUR THOUSAND:  We will be looking for the decoding keys as we peer through the passages that embraces them.

John said that the Angel sealed twelve thousand from each of the twelve tribes of Israel‘s redeemed. Thus, making the word Israel’s a possessive noun and our #1 key IS ”Israel’s.
Then when the hundred forty and four thousand sang: “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;” Revelation 5:9

Page 205

The word redeemed is Key #2
Earlier John had said: “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, [3] Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.   Revelation 7:2-3

The phrase: “ The servant of their God is Key #3
Now when we replace the one hundred forty and four with the first and second keys we come up with Israel’s redeemed.
Then when we add the third key to the phrase Israel’s redeemed we come up with ISRAEL’S REDEEMED SERVENTS OF THEIR GOD.

It was as Merriam Webster said: “Encoding is to convert (as a body of information) from one system of communication into another, especially: to convert (a message) into code.”

And though the use of encoding keys the THOUSAND-YEAR REIGN is accessible.

The thousand is replaced by the phrase: A REDEEMED SERVENT OF GOD.

While the word YEARS translates as belonging to time.

Thus, after decoding, the thousand years it reads: A REDEEMED SERVENT OF GOD WHILE IN THEIR PILGRAMAGE.

Then there is where Elijah told the Lord that he was the only servant that He had left.
Paul asks: “But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.”
Romans 11:4
Now Seven thousand is another encoded number.  Our keys fit it perfectly.

Whereas Six hundred three score and six represents the natural man: Seven hundred, seventy and seven is representative of the spiritual mnn.

In the first place God said I have, therefore the seven decoded reads: God’s then even as before a thousand decoded reads: SERVANTS OF THEIR GOD.
God’s SERVANTS OF THEIR GOD.     May the Good LORD Bless.

Then Cometh The End

                                                                               August 30, 2011
 Page 206
In the following passage, the apostle Paul gave us a step by step prophetic account on what is to come on the heels of the last trump of God.

 Here is that prophesy:
He wrote; “Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. [25] For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. [26] The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. [27] For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. [28] And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him that God may be all in all. “

1 Corinthians 15:24-28

“Then cometh the end when Jesus shall have delivered up the kingdom to God.”

Due to the fact that God’s redeemed will be in Heaven “When cometh the end;”  that assures us that by then the Resurrection will have been carried out successfully.

Now, The General Resurrection was what our Lord referred to, when He said; “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, [29] And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28-29

Paul said of that great getting up; “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to

meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Jesus prophesied of yet another major undertaking, “When cometh the end;”
He said;“ So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just.” Matthew 13:49

Page 207
The Scripture gives a very limited view of what we’ll find when we reach Heaven’s portals.

That’s what Paul concluded, he wrote; “And as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But he doesn’t stop there, he added:
“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

I understand that since no one can tell us what Heaven is like,
That it is as someone has suggested. His take was; “While in the spirit, we get a little taste of what Heaven is like.”

That being true, I suppose that our best testimony, on what we know about Heaven is that, what we have felt has revealed more than what we’ve been told.”

I believe the song, “HOW BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN MUST BE”
Better describes our knowledge of what Heaven looks like than any other testimonial.

-Jesus described the tranquility of Heaven when He said that while the rich man was in torments, Lazarus was comforted while basking in the pleasantries of Paradise.

We write songs and sang as though we know all about Heaven.

However, it is my understanding that the best way to write songs and sang is to follow the example practiced by King David and other psalmists.

They compose and sang songs about their Creator and Savior and they tell how God had subdued all their strong enemies.

 “Then cometh the end”
Peter gave a graphic description on what is to befall the earth and its temporal surroundings; when “cometh the end.”

Page 208
He said; “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:7

Then the apostle Paul said of the time of the ending of the world;    [7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that Know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: [9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; [10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

“Then cometh the end When he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.”

At world’s end, such callings as evangelists; pastors and teachers and all other commissions that are under the authoritative rule, of the Holy Ghost, will be relieved of their duties; as will the saints that are reigning
on the earth with Christ as kings and priests.  “When he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power,” For obvious reasons the Office of High Priest will no longer be valid, due to the fact that mediating, interceding and making intercessions for the saints, will be a thing of the past.

But didn’t the Father tell Jesus; “Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec?”  Hebrews 5:5-6

Page 209
Perhaps your thinking might be as was mine, that the definition of forever, always bears the label, eternal; But not so.
in some cases  the Scriptural meaning of forever is based upon the duration of a specific ordinance or covenant.

Paul also said; “For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.” Corinthians 15:25

And the Author of Hebrews weighs in with;
“Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.” Hebrews 2:8

What a profound revelation we find in that scripture!

After the writer said; that; “He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.” Leave it to the Apostle Paul to explain what seems to be the unexplainable.

He said; “But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.” 1 Corinthian 15:26

Jesus Defeated The Devil and Satan in Forty and Two Months

Page 210

The warfare that Jesus initiated between Himself and the Devil ended after forty-two months with Jesus the victorious winner.

His triumphal victory was ordained of God that He might succour His children in all situations that should arrive during their pilgrimage.

The word succour cannot be better explained than where one said:  “The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not succour thee.” (Author unknown)

The Psalmist described Jesus’ ability to sustain His saints on this wise: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”  Psalms 46:1

The author of Hebrews also defines the meaning of the word succour, he said: “For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”  Hebrews 2:18     According to the Merriam Webster’s Dictionary, the word succour is pronounced the same way as, the bony fish: “sucker.”

It also aid that the meaning of the word succour is to help, aid, assist, assistance, comfort, lift, relief, secure, support; maintain, nourishment, and sustenance.  Jesus met all of those criteria with a lot to spare.

Why, Jesus even succored the Gentiles the entire forty-two months that they spent treading under foot the outer court.

(More on that later)

Now, our God ordained that the forty-two months wherein Jesus, endured much pain and suffering, should succored His saints. And that succoring was in full force from the foundation of the world, and shall continue until the end of the same.

The Lord’s sustenance embraced Moses during his trial and tribulations.
He wrote: “When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you,

Page 211
then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:  Deuteronomy 9:9

Since Jesus went without food and water for forty days and forty nights, that abstinence from food and water was an all sufficient supporter, or succour for God’s servant, Moses.

Matthew told us why Jesus qualified as being a succour to Moses.

He wrote: “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.  And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.” Matthew: 4:1-2

He also succoured Elias, whose name was Elijah in the Old Testament.

He through fervent prayer shut up heaven that it rained not for three years and six months.

By translating those three and half years into months, we come up with forty-two. The same amount of time that Jesus used in earning the right to be tsuccour to His saints.

Therefore, Jesus’ presence was there as succour to Elijah.

James weighed in on that event, he said: “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.”
James 5:17-18

As for the lost world, the great apostle addressed that issue also when he quoted Jesus as saying: “… I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”   2 Corinthians 6:2

May the Good LORD Bless.

BLINDNESS IN PART IS HAPPENED TO ISRAEL
UNTIL THE FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES BE BROUGHT IN
                                                                          October 27, 2011
 Page 212
I came up with our title from where Paul said: “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” Romans 11:25

Then John, with his mystical code, he gave us an account on the Gentile side of the story, he said: “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood,  saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. [2] But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.” Revelation 11:1-2

Taking into account that Israel’s blindness and the Gentile’s treading the outer court under foot ran concurrently, they should and did commence at the same time and ended after forty-and two months.

We are still dealing with Jesus’ defeating of the Devil and Satan in forty-two months, and that God decreed that His victory was sufficient to sustain or succour His saints as they proceeded to carry out their God assigned duties.

I don’t believe that the word succour can be better defined than he who said:  “The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not succour, or sustain thee.”

Now the way God succoured the Gentile saints was that He sustained them while they were in the outer court’ being prepared for the New Testament ministry.

The Gentiles had not been exposed to the NT Doctrine as had the apostles and other Israelites.
For most part the Gentiles were ignorant of the doctrine Christ was that when the Lord  sent His apostles out to preach His Gospel, He commanded them:  “Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: [6] But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 10:5-6
Paul explained why Jesus prohibited His ministers from preaching to any one saving the lost sheep of Israel.

Page 213
He wrote:  “Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.”  Romans 15:8

To go along with that,  Jesus told the Woman of Canaan:  “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24

Needless to say, none of the Gentiles were bid to accompany the Apostles as they went about fulfilling the great commission to evangelize the whole world.

Since the Gentiles were to inhabit the temple at a later date, we might say that ‘they were waiting in the wing.’

In contrast to the Gentiles being kept from ministering for forty-two months,
Saul, who was later called Paul, began to preach the gospel soon after the Lord saved him.

Acts Chapter nine recorded his conversion. Five chapters later he had been ordained an apostle.

Here is that record.  The writer said: “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”  Acts 13:2

Then in the very next chapter Paul and Barnabas are referred to as apostles.
 Acts 14:14

When Paul penned the letter to the Ephesians he told the Gentiles that they had been fitted for the ministry.  He wrote: “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; [20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; [21] In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: [22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”  Ephesians 2:19-22

Therefore on the same day the Gentiles became fit subjects for the ministry the blindness was lifted from the non believers of Israel.

 May the GOOD LORD Bless,
Amen!

The Wicked Shall Be Turned Into Hell
and All The Nations That Forget God
                                                                                    December 3, 2011
 Page 214
I came up with this title from where the sweet Psalmist said: “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
Psalm 9:17

After the Word of God convinced you and me that: “The wicked that forget God shall be turned into hell,” we listened with an attentive ear, believed the report, confessed that we were wretched sinners in need of a Savior, then the Lord saved us.

But what about: “All nations that forget God shall be turned into hell?”

The Holy Scripture affords us with no less than three nations that forgot God.      Two of which were Sodom and Gomorra.

Here (in part) is the biblical account on what led up to their destruction.

Sodom and Gomorra were two different domains. Kings ruled both. Both were known for their corruptible vices.

The men of those nations were wicked and abominable sinners above most.
God sent His angels to Sodom via Abraham’s tent.
From thence they went to Sodom. There Lot, Abraham’s nephew, dwelt with his wife and two daughters.

Upon entering the city of Sodom, one of the angels challenged Lot with:        “Hast thou here any besides? Son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: [13] For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.” Genesis 19:12-13

“And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; [18] Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?   Genesis 18:17-18

(The Lord did let Abraham in on His plan to destroy Sodom.)

Page 215
Moses Wrote: “And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? [24] Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?” Genesis 18:23-24

“And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.  Genesis 18:26

After Abraham made several increments of interceding, He besought the Lord once again with: “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake. [33] And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.” Genesis 18:32-33

However, it is common knowledge that only four persons escaped with their lives: Lot, his wife and two daughters; however after being told not to look back, Lot’s wife disobeyed and was turned into a pillar of salt.

After Lot and his family were vacated from Sodom: “Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; [25] And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.” Genesis 19:24-25

“And Abraham looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.” Genesis 19:28

Moses used such words as: brimstone, fire, and the smoke of a furnace to show that Sodom and Gomorra forgot God and were turned into hell.

ISRAEL WAS A NATION THAT FORGOT GOD

Page 216
The beloved Israel forgot God and was turned into hell.

Jerusalem was the capital of Israel.
Naturally Jerusalem mandated all legislation and their decisions applied to the whole of Israel.
(I thought that worthy of mentioning.)

Although the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah was a literally burning, God’s wrath was kindled against Israel for killing their prophets and saints but God’s wrath smoked even hotter when they killed Jesus.

John the Revelator starts us off with:  “And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.” Revelation 18:1

(Now that angel as it were, was Jesus Christ the Righteous. He and He only lightened the earth with His glory and He continues to light the earth with His glory.)

[2] “And he (JESUS) cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit.” Revelation 18:2

Further down in the chapter John identified Babylon the great as being old Jerusalem when he wrote: “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” Revelation 18:2
The reason we know that Babylon the great was Jerusalem is that Jesus laid the same charge of killing the prophets and saints at her door during His earthly ministry.
Here is that accusation: with a lamenting voice Jesus said “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not” Luke 13:34

Page 217
Jesus called Israel’s capital city Jerusalem while the Law Covenant was in force, but after God annulled their covenant John called her Babylon the great.

Through those charges they pointed their finger at Jerusalem.                                         John didn’t stop there.  He identified Jerusalem as being: “The great city,
which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, (For said he) where also our Lord was crucified. .” Revelation 11:8

The Lord told Israel through the pen of Isaiah: “Thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.” Isaiah 62:2

The Lord did call the elect of Israel by a new name; He called them His Church. Matthew 16:18

Jesus didn’t stop there He called Israel’s unbelievers by a new name as well He called them Babylon the Great. Revelation 18:2

John also wrote: [5] “For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.   [8] Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

When John said: “And she shall be utterly burned with fire.” This implied that the event was future in nature.

According to some Historians, that prophecy was fulfilled when Titus came into Jerusalem and overthrew her during the year seventy AD.                                                   I suppose that Titus also carried out the prophecy Jesus made while with His disciples.

He asked them: “See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Matthew 24:-2

What’s more Jesus added: “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” Matthew 24:34

Page 218
John continued with his gloom and doom prophecy.  He said [23] “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee:” Revelation 18:23

“And the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee.

The reason the voice of the Bridegroom, Christ and the Bride, His Church were no more to be heard at all in Babylon the great, was that God cast all Israel out of the Kingdom, both the righteous and the wicked and only the righteous was reinstated back into the kingdom that is known as His Church.

At Pentecost He reinstated the “Little Flock” back into the kingdom and they became His Bride leaving Israel void of her righteous saints.
Little wonder that Jesus named the rest of Israel “Babylon the great.”

Paul said of those whom were left on the outside: “And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.” Romans 11:23

Daniel spoke on behalf of what happened to Israel. He said: “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” Daniel 12:10

Then John concludes the chapter by saying: “Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. [21] And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. [22] And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; [23] And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. [24] And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.”
Revelation 18:20-24

God Created The Mother of All Living From The Rib of A Man

                                                           January 5, 2012
Page 219
There are two different Biblical characters to which our title applies.
They are the first lady and the Elect Lady, namely Eve and the Church.

Eve was brought into the world as a helpmeet for Adam. And the Church found herself fulfilling the same roll for Jesus Christ her LORD.
Adam said of Eve that she was the mother of all living. Genesis 3:20

The Apostle said that the Church is the mother of all that are spiritually alive. He wrote: “But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” Galatians 4:26

Note: (When Paul said that “Jerusalem which is above is the mother of us all;” he didn’t say that she is above as in heaven but, she is above in authority as was Sarah over her handmaiden, Hagar.)

Now that we’ve seen that our title was an introductory to two different Biblical women, namely Eve and the Church, and that their role in life was so profoundly alike that we found it necessary to identify them by name rather than by their purpose in life.

Now the following Scriptural statements, for most part, applied to both Jesus and Adam alike.

And the LORD GOD said: “But for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.” Genesis 2:20b

“And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;” Genesis 2:21

And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Genesis 2:22

And Adam said of her, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.  Genesis 2:23

Page 220
When Moses described the creating of Eve I believe that it was a true pattern that the Lord God duplicated in creating the Elect Lady, which He did some four millennia later.

The description of the creation of Eve was a true image of the creating of the Church.

My good pastor suggested that after “One of the soldiers with a spear pierced the side of Jesus, and forthwith came there out blood and water” John 19:34 that the birth of the Church was in progress; that assurance was very helpful in creating this document.  Thanks, Roger!

And even as Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Genesis 2:23

Jesus could have made that same proclamation. The Apostle did, he said of Jesus Christ and the Church: “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” Ephesians 5:29-30

May the good Lord bless.   Amen!

The Seed of the Woman and The Seed of The Serpent
                                                            January 20, 2012
Page 221
After the serpent deceived Eve, causing her to eat the forbidden fruit, the Lord God reviled the serpent. He said: “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”  Genesis 3:15

Then “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. [17] And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;” Genesis 3:16-17

From that message, Paul concluded: “Adam was first formed, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” 1Timothy 2:14

Then with his biblical logic Paul wrote: “For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Romans 5:19

Not forgetting that the Lord God had said to the serpent: “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
God did induce an adverse hostility between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent that is still ongoing.

Just a few days before Jesus was to suffer the pains of the crucifixion, He engaged himself in a conflict of interest with several of Jerusalem’s scribes and Pharisees.

Through that confrontation He identified those men as being the seed of the serpent; here’s what He said: “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” Matthew 23:33
Likewise John the Baptist reckoned the scribes and Pharisees to be the seed of the serpent, for when they came to him to be baptized.

Page 222
“Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him,
O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”  Luke 3:7

Yea, the Lord God told the serpent that the seed of the woman shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”  Genesis 3:15

And bruise His heels they did when they drove the nails into His hands and feet as they nailed Him to the cross.

Up to that time it looked as though Jesus was the looser, but nay the prophecy didn’t end there, and neither did the conflict.

Yes, they killed the Son of God and then He was buried by His friends.  However the story didn’t end there, for on the third day God raised Him from the dead.

Yea the detailed account of His death burial and resurrection is the Gospel.
When preached by one of God’s called ministers; it bruises the head of the serpent, that is, none other than the Devil and Satan.

The late Reverend Bob Jones of Toledo Ohio said that through the work of the cross, Jesus pulverized the head of the Devil and Satan.  I agree whole heartily. Amen and Amen!

Here’s a portrait of where the seed of the woman bruised the head of the serpent.

When Jesus sent His disciples out to preach His Gospel, He told them: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19

In that context Paul said: Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” Ephesians 6:14-15

Note***
In the following doctrine the results is the same but the language is much different, for the Church is represented in the woman and her offspring is the risen Saviour, Jesus Christ.  And He is her firstborn.

Page 223
The Apostle declared Christ to be her firstborn. He wrote: “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:” Colossians 1:15

Here is the way that Paul taught that to the Romans. He wrote: “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29

I believe that his thought on that was that God’s firstborn Son must be first born from the pulpit before a child can be born into the Kingdom. What do you think?

Some fifty days after the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Peter stood and preached to some that had participated in His death.
He told them: “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

   The writer continued:
[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38

Did you notice how the tide had turned against the Devil and Satan?
Yea, many that had taken part in Jesus’ death were pricked in the heart and asked: “Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.” Acts 2:36-38

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” Acts 2:41 WOW!

At this time how could a scripture be more appropriate than where the Psalmist wrote? “The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net, which they hid, is their own foot taken.” Psalm 9:15

May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob be blessed forever.
Amen!

They Hated Me Without A Cause

                                                                          February 5, 2012

Those are the words that testified of the hatred that awaited Jesus upon His arrival on earth.

The spirit of Christ that was in David inspired him to prophesy: “They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.” Psalm 69:4

Then he besought God: “Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.”
Psalm 35:19

In another prophecy He said: “They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.” Psalm 109:3

John witnessed the fulfillment of such prophecies.
He wrote: “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:11-12

Yea, the majority of those to whom Jesus was sent rejected Him while ‘the small remnant’ loved and reverenced Him.

I believe the first to vent his hatred toward Jesus ‘without a cause’ was King Herod. For he heard that Jesus was born King of the Jews, after that he went to great lengths to kill Him but to no avail.

Then after Jesus preached His first sermon in the Jewish synagogue (Luke 4:17-27) Luke said: “All they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. Luke 4:30
But he passing through the midst of them went his way, Luke 4:28-30

Enough on how the world treated Him without a cause.

Mark said that after Jesus made the deaf and dumb to hear and speak that they: “Were beyond measure astonished, saying He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.” Mark 7:37

The author of the book of Acts said: “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

Then Luke in chapters seven and eight (7and 8) of his gospel recorded many good deeds that Jesus did and most likely within a few days.

This story began when Jesus entered into Capernaum.
Luke said: “And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. [3] And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.” Luke 7:2-3

“Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: [7] Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.” Luke 7:6-7

“When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. [10] And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.” Luke 7:9-10

Likewise Luke wrote: “Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, and there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. [15] And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.” Luke 7:14-15

Then Luke said that there was a “certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.” Luke 8:2

Then Luke recorded that Jesus was sleeping while an unfathomable storm was brewing outside the ship.
Luke wrote: “And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.” Luke 8:24

Luke continued: “And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.” Luke 8:27
Then further down in the chapter, Luke said: Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” Luke 8:35

Next, Luke wrote: “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, [44] Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.” Luke 8:43-44

Jesus was known for bringing the dead back to life; therefore after Jairus’ daughter had died, he requested that Jesus come and bring her back to life.

Luke said: “And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. [53] And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. [54] And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. [55] And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.” Luke 8:52-55

The Apostle John said: “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” John 21:25
Count me as one of those that said AMEN to that.

During the last days of His ministry, Jesus told the Jews: “If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

Page 227
[25] But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.” John 15:24-25

Jesus told His other disciples, and us: “The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” John 7:7                                                                    That has always been the case. Cain killed Able because he was righteous.
Jerusalem killed their prophets because they bore messages from the Lord.

John said: “Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.”  1 John 3:13

Notice: as some believe that Jesus’ prayer was about sparing Him from death by the cross. But hear this, Jesus said: “Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.”
John 12:27

Jesus reveled in going to the cross.  The writer said “who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,”

The author of Hebrews request was: “Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1b-2

Yea, they compassed Him about, alright with words of hatred and fought against Him while He was joyfully suffering the pains of Hell as they jeered Him ‘without a cause’.

To hear the conclusion of the matter, Jesus said: I restored that which I took not away.” Psalm 69:4

May the God of Abraham and Isaac, and Jacob be blessed forever, Amen!
